Accessibility

IPF Consultants is committed to developing it's website so it is accessible to everyone regardless of individual disability/ability.

"The power of the Web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect" - Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director and inventor of the World Wide Web

In the UK it is now law that websites take reasonable steps to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) design regulations. The DDA is about many aspects of how businesses ensure that their services are available to people with disabilities. The inclusion of web design in this act is part of a global initiative to make the internet friendlier for these active users. The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) is lead by the W3C, the web standards organisation.

Making a website accessible is about ensuring its code complies with these standards. To ensure that this website complies we use a number of tools; Watchfire WebXACT, the W3C Markup Validation Service, and the W3C CSS Validation Service. This website complies with Priority 3 of the Watchfire WebXACT guidelines, which is the highest attainable, and passes all W3C tests. However, if you do encounter any difficulties or barriers, please contact us and we will try to improve the website to reflect your needs.

Page Validation

All of our web pages contain two links at the bottom that will allow you to test each page against the W3C validatiors. If you should get anything other than a "Passed validation" we would encorage you to contact us so we can correct any coding errors enabling us to continue in our commitment to accessibility.
